Meet your new
baby whisperer
Hi, I’m Kim. I am a proud mama to Reed, a rambunctious 18-month-old. My husband, Devan, and I are also expecting another little one later this year. For the first 6 months of Reed’s life, we struggled with his sleep. He exclusively contact napped, routinely waking 4-7 times a night, and preferred to sleep in my arms instead of his crib. We were all exhausted, I was a shell of myself. I wasn’t a good parent, a good wife, or good at taking care of myself. I was overwhelmed by the information available online, which was often conflicting, and I didn’t feel like any of it was personalized to my specific situation, family values, or Reed’s unique needs. I obsessed over wake windows and tracking Reed’s sleep, it consumed us.
I knew I needed help. I needed to know what my options were. I needed support from another human, another mother, who understood what I was going through. And I needed sleep. So, we hired a sleep consultant, and our lives were changed. It wasn’t instantaneous, and it wasn’t without us doing some hard work, but it was the best thing we could have done as a family.
I chose to become a certified sleep consultant because I know what months of sleepless nights look like. I understand the desperation, and the need to have your baby fall asleep and stay asleep, so there might be a chance you can connect a few hours of sleep yourself. I understand the anxiety of starting something hard and being fearful of the unknown. I have a deep desire to help other families get the rest they need and deserve, and I want to show you what your lives could look like on the other side of sleep training - both for your family and your sleepy little babe.
